It will say on your computer "Battery is Low" later thats the time to change your battery-operated. Or ask the place or company where you bought it from they will furnish you more info about your laptop.

the answers above me would answer ur question if its ur laptop...but within case u only just want to know it so u can decide on which one to buy afterwards look for the description...like 8 cell...that would last for an hour and a partially to two hoursdepends on usage
