My budget is lb500 and I don't want to get one from Dell, too much close to hard work!
The laptop is going to be used for internet first and foremost. No office software. Maybe freshly to store some pics as well.

I intuitively perfer the intel over the amd processor

I've just brought a current laptop and I went for the Toshiba, the details you hold given do make the Acer look close to the better buy but I expect I would still have the Toshiba given the choice.
I lately bought the Toshiba and can't fault it - near again l have an Acer PC and can't show disapproval that either

you should consider dell though.
