System restore?

i asked a q in advance and some of you said try system restore and it says create a restore point i put within factory setting and it just said restore point and todays date so i put surrounded by march 2002 when notebook was made and it come back next to todays date help lol tom thankfulness peeps

system restore will single restore when you have made a restore point or on a installer/uninstaller you let somebody know it to create a restore point, also if you have not updated your computer (2002 would miserable version reasonably old) then restore may not be switched on. If you create a restore point it will brand name a restore point for any time in the adjectives to restore to the point you just made. You enjoy to choose to roll back if you want to restore backwards from another time.

You should see an picking to restore PC to an earilier time / date, when you click that, it should open a callender for you to choose from.

what are you trying to do a syster restore for specifically?
you said that you be trying to get it to restore wager on to the date your computer was made. are you trying to obtain it to run just close to it did the day you bought it? if so you can other do whats called a "system recovery" (back up ALL your files first). or are you trying to get better something you deleted?

where on earth you see the create a restore point is for now (so you've in recent times created a restore point called factory setting!!!)
beside i.e. the option YOU NEED which is "restore my computer to an previously time"
choose this and on the calender some dates will be BOLD and DARKER, these are the point which you can restore to! work through them till you draw from what you need!

pp: recent documents ect will be kept but if you installed any programs after the date you choose you will no longer own them!!
