I hold a Compaq Presario V5000 laptop that won't start after mortal past its sell-by date for 3 months. Any suggestions?

Either the battery died out completely and you should charge it.

Or, the batteries are depleted, it may own leakage or something because of the time it be left purely turned off and probably exposed to extreme temperature. Maybe you need to replace the or enjoy it checked.
it needs a de-fib hehe ...plug it contained by and push and hold the on button .. see if that does it ...
The battery may hold died. Try replacing it or plugging in the laptop up to that time turning it on.

Use the AC power cord. If it still wont start, check the power cord first.
