What is the best knees top to buy and why?

Answer:
An Apple Macbook or Macbook pro, they are amazing!
No one can answer this as it depends on your budget and useage requirements

BUT

Go for a reputable manufacturer, Toshiba for example, to some extent than a 2nd line retailer who uses other peoples components (and avoid ADVENT similar to the plague).

Then look at your needs, no point within paying for expensive graphics cards if you aren't going to be playing high expire games, or sound cards if you aren't going to be using it for music/film.
I own a Sony Vaio and I love it. It's not that cheap, but it has excellent financial guarantee features, a nice sized screen, a multifunction dock for my DVI-D, DVD+R, DVD+/- RW, 4 USB ports which is excellent,

It's only a cool laptop. It's around a little over two august with the multifunction dock installed.
After decide what kind of compatibility you stipulation; IBM, Mac, etc., (or maybe a co-processor so you can run it all), I'd be in motion to CONSUMER REPORTS online. Then I'd go to e-bay, company websites, etc., and see if I could find other.
Whatever you do, don't buy a Compaq. Mine was a couple years prehistoric, but barely used when it quit booting up. I looked online and their be literally hundreds of complaints about alike thing happening--a factory irregularity that they refused to acknowledge or fix. If you can afford to, buy a Mac. They may give the impression of being a bit more expensive, but they will last virtually forever if you appropriate care of them. You can also run window programs on them now, some even faster than on an ibm compatible.
That is the examine of the year. Best buy.l
I can only confer my experience with laptops. I own had 3 Toshibas and one non Toshiba. I get rid of the Toshibas due to old age! The non Toshiba get rid of my data and died.
