No that will not affect your laptop. It would enjoy to be much colder than 20C to have any adverse effect. Even putting it contained by a freezer wouldn't kill the computer itself (though it would probably impairment the screen).
And if you're worried about the sudden heat change affecting it, it would also own to be much more drastic than just putting it within a 20C room while it is hot.
Should be fine, just net sure you switch the laptop off past you go to bed.

It ok to use your Laptop within an AC room, the only problem is within high humidity nouns condensation will build up fast when taking into usual room tempter, I live in the Philippines and i never steal my Laptop into my bedroom where the AC is, if you live within a dry hot area resembling Southern California then it should not be a problem.
