Can video cards on notebook computers be upgraded?

I enjoy an old ATI Mobility Radeon card that is to say freezing up; was wondering if you can even upgrade these adapters on a notebook computer.

Answer:
if it is not a motherboard attached pictographic card then it is possible. shift to ati.com and find catalyst control for your graphic card. Maybe too much boil from your laptop is destroying your card. get one of those cooling fan that placed under your laptop
Generally speaking, no. I can't speak to adjectives laptops out there, but I know of none that enjoy upgradable video.
No, and very few newer laptops have this option, even if they can, they are restricted to what the laptop manufactures allows.
Depends on your motherboard, sometimes it can and sometimes it can't.
