I call for to what what liberal of a computer to obtain?

I stipulation something reasonible in price but I can do an online conservatory.

Answer:
If that's all you are going to use it for you can unsophisticatedly get the cheapest OEM computer available. A budget system will meet your requirements for online schooling and Office applications.

*EDIT IRT some of the other posts

Toshibas have some of the crappiest tech support and but need it moreso than any other company at the moment. They enjoy had issues near AC connectors, graphics driver compatibility, and overheating for a couple of years now, and own done nothing just about it.

If you buy a new OEM system, it IS going to come near Vista. Therefore, IRT the post saying 256MB RAM is ample - all I can read out is - HA!. No, seriously though. Unless you get a refurbished system near XP still on it, Vista requires much more than 256MB RAM. You will need at lowest 512MB to run Basic and 1GB to run Premium or Ultimate.

Though, because Vista is fairly untried, most new systems running it will be "aggressively priced" - classification they will be cheap for what they contain because they're trying to push a new OS.

EMachines, if it be a few years ago, I would say 'hell, no'. But, only just Gateway has be turning around and actually getting on the orb with their systems. Between 1998 and roughly speaking 2002, Gateway went to **** for a while and be producing junk. But, E-Machines presently are about equivalent to HP systems - which are fine for the most piece.
Just about any computer today will do what you want to do. Get one on mart. I saw a great sale today on an Office Depot flyer.
Well jump to Dell if you are buying online and look at there system (if price is an issue change direction away from the XPS systems). Gateway computers are also really nice. If you are willing to spend a tad bit more on outer characteristic look at HP.
An Acer Laptop is very pretty good.
Dells are pretty fine
If you just requirement something decent for online research, and writing Word documents, you could bring back a basic:

20+ GB concrete drive
256MB Ram
1.5 GHZ processor

Obviously, the more you can get, the better, but that's lately a quick chief drawing of what you could use.
Find prices on hp.com or something---depending on what brand of computer you're looking at!
come to cobb, ga there be given them away for free if you were a student. but surrounded by your case, alot of companies bestow huge discounts for student, bestbuy
