Where can i find a virus scanner that i can run BEFORE everything boots up on my computer?

I hold on to getting the blue screen of release durring my virus scan, every time. I am running mcafee with adjectives the updates and stuff. Every time i run the scan, i get a pfn_file_corrupt blue eyeshade error, so i can never complete a scan. I am starting to think i may own a virus, but not sure. I have checked and updated my drivers for adjectives my hardware also. my system is as follows: dell inspiron 5150 (notebook)-intel pentium 2.8ghz 2gig ram, nvidia geforce FX go5200 w/64mb video bump, 30gig hd, lynksys wireless g notebook card, anything else just ask. anyone beside answers please let me know!

you need a bootable cd made from UBCD for window. This one can be incorporated with the up-to-the-minute versions of free Antivirus programs.

You can find AVG antivirus for free from free.grisoft.com
It's free, so it wouldn't hurt to see if it will solve your problem. I've been using it for years.

Alternatively, you could try booting into not detrimental mode, and then running a scan, as not adjectives services/programs will load at boot.
Go to not dangerous mode F8 and try SUPERAntiSpyWare.Check the site for info.I used once awk.Full scan once a month.Good luck.Gilbert.
