Mac or PC laptop for college?
I use the computer for internet, word processing, the occasional MMORPG, and wallet sharing. That said, I'd need to download a p2p program, and I'm not sure if they'd be compatible next to Macs.
Suggestions?

I would suggest spending the extra $ and getting the Macbook pro. You will never have to verbs about virus's. Yes the current mac's are loaded.
pc would be kinda better because you own more options for those.

The legitimate question is "What does my college use?"
If it's only Macs, attain a Mac. If it's mostly PCs, get a PC.
If your laptop isn't compatible next to what the school suggests (and by which the instructors follow) afterwards you could be in some hurt when writing a serious newspaper on a different format on a different operating system.
But I would say PC a short time ago to be safe for the P2P.

Especially since you said p2p (azureus for MAC). You wont own to deal w/ worms on your MAC when you download some bunk viral app.
FWIW, most campus' are riddled w/ Macs. Most engineering profs, and CS profs use MAC.
even more "arts" type citizens are macaholics.
most mmorpgs will run on MAC too. Dont even bother w/ bootcamp or parallels.

PC's are a better choice. They are widely supported and you can have unlimited methodical support nearby. PC's and MacBooks are one and the same (excpet Mac's are too expensive), PC's makes your on a daily basis life hobbies possible. From surfing the Internet, word processing, and local are grating (sharing files, etc.). If you want to save closely of money, PC's are a better choice.
Believe me, go for a PC.
Why PC is more popular than MAC ?
Back within time MAC (apple) code were keeping not to be disclosed to make to brand totally proprietary.
On the other hand we have PC (IBM) agrees to make his code public.
Proprietary tight less competition, more expensive , presently MAC is not that expensive as oppose to PC, but we still remember times gone by.
Again go for a PC.
There are plenty of free anti-virus software available to hold on to your PC safe.
BUY A MAC!! I in recent times bought one, and if your school have mostly PC's, you can install windows XP on here ,and choose it upon start up, its like have 2 computers in one!! its fully compatible, and will run super hastily! you can install and run ANY windows Program out in attendance! Also with a mac, if you grasp Microsoft Office Mac, you can open and repress, and also share any office document, because it is designed to be fully compatible! As far as everything else, the Macintosh should be able to pedal it. The Mac is far superior to Windows right now. No virus, worms, or hacking your Mac while you're on-line. same graphics card as Apple Pro laptop, but beside more memory, and less $$$
my friend works at apple, his computer breaks adjectives the time. Go with IBM for laptops (lenovo now) or dell for a desktop. You cant dance wrong. All businesses use IBM these days.
