I hold a Toshiba Satellite A215-S4757, I can connect wireless and use my messenger, I can't explore the trellis!

I enjoy Windows Vista... Could that be part of the problem? I can chat to my messenger contacts, download stuff from DAP, but when I unfold the Internet Explorer says that I'm not connected. And it isn't purely the wireless conection, if I plug in, is impossible to tell apart thing. Help me please, that's the origin I bought my laptop and I can't even check my mail.

since you can exceed other traffic such as messenger, its just net traffic the connection is suitable so its either a firewall or proxy server. disable adjectives firewalls ie..windows, Norton protection etc...and try it. make sure lower than Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options > Connections > settings and LAN Settings, make sure proxy is not enabled unless its supposed to be and if so breed sure its configured properly
Try re-installing IE7 or use Firefox
