No, you are never obligated to purchase a software roll after the trial period have expired. During the trial period, if you find something you similar to more, I'd suggest you just download it and store it for installation after the trial have run, so there won't be any lapse surrounded by your coverage or protection.
No you don't have to buy the full journal after the trial period, you can uninstall it and attain whatever anti-virus software you want
I suggest you any uninstall or subscribe to it (your preference) before the 90 days are up. Virus Blockers are infamous for releasing viruses after the subscription runs out. They will release a virus to slow your computer down and when you scan to try and stop it, it purposefully ignore it as a way to receive you to re-subscribe. I would uninstall it now and install AVG AntiVirus. It's free and it works great!
To be really honest next to you, I don't like Norton. I'd nick it off. if you own time warner, they provide a decent roll - or you can download AVG for free and it does a great job. I chew over Norton is very invasive. Whenever someone's computer slows down, it's the first piece I look for and it's usually the culprit.
IF you decide to cart off Norton, be paid sure you download your AVG or whatever - and don't spread out it - instead SAVE IT to your documents - so you have the program - THEN uninstall Norton, REBOOT and doubleclick your latest software.
Sometimes Norton resides on your computer with mysterious files so you may or may not have to tweak it. depending on if it give you trouble. Norton is a royal PITA..
