You should really check it's compatible in the past putting it in, otherwise it could crumple your laptop. Is there any information on the sticker on the side of the memory chip going on for the chip's specs? Have a look, and if there is, compare it to the specs that your laptop specifies for memory (check the guide or the internet)
u must ask any shop about it..dnt put it while u rnt sure..
in general if the RAM is incompatible you get an error surrounded by boot up or It may not boot up at all. It's glib find out what memory you need from Kingston - Go to their site put within model, make ,etc. of computer contained by the step by step RAM page.
If you look at the edge of the memory that go into the slot, you will see that it as one or more "grooves" on the edge. Those grooves hold to fit with similar "bumps" in the laptop's memory slot. If the memory is not compatible next to your laptop, you will probably not even be able to insert it. The grooves will not queue up with the bumps.
If you can insert it, and it is the wrong memory, the laptop will as a rule not boot up while the chip is in it. It will power up, but never bring up any display. It may also hoot at you. IF that happens, power down and remove the chip.
Finally, the chip itself may be compatible next to the laptop, but not with the current memory surrounded by the computer. That will cause the laptop to keep hold of locking up on you, and you will be unable to do anything but shut it down by adjectives power to it.
Best thing to do is to look up your current memory, and the foreign memory. Make sure they are the same type (SDRAM, DDR, etc) and indistinguishable speed. If they are, they should work together.
if you put it in, and isn't compatible, the computer will most imagined not boot up, and will probably make some bleeping noise. It may however bootup, but the extra memory will not be recognised by the computer.
Also, I've never had any agreed damaged cause by incorectly installing RAM
This is very assured. Remove the panel, place the RAM into position and snap it in. (remove the battery-operated and power cord)
When you TURN on the computer, there are three possibilities.
1- It works, Right Click on My Computer and pick Properties. You see the increased amount of available memory.
2 - It does not work at adjectives, computer won't reboot - just remove that RAM module.
3 - Computer boots OK, but does not show an increase contained by RAM in the My Computer Properties subdivision.
If this does not work, consider buying RAM from a seller that guarantees that it will work. Look up your computer at http://www.coastmemory.com
Good luck and Happy Computing!
idk abt laptops, but on a desktop, if you put a inexact card in it will simply show an error. in recent times take it out, and put the behind the times one back within, and you will be fine.
