My laptop (inspiron running XP) does not sanction the audio device anymore. This happened suddenly as everything be working fine before. The grotesque thing though is that i can listen to music and nouns from movies from winamp and windows medium player BUT I can no longer hear any songs from firefox ( when using Youtube etc...). What should I do? It's clear that the audio device itself is fine. Thanks

Not a bad view to go to start and right click my computer run to properties and click on hardware tab... look for device manager and look to see if audio have a yellow or red smudge by it if so right click and reinstall drivers...
If not try you tube with IE if that works simply tilt volume in firefox or reinstall any way you will be fixed up...
