About Crucial.com's System Scanner?
Now what get me confused was that when I check properties on 'My Computer' it say I have singular got 224 strike.
Why does the system scanner say I enjoy 1GB when I have much smaller quantity than that?

You may have a fruitless memory stick installed, or Windows is somehow not getting the correct information.

the scanner is seeing adjectives of the ram on the computer, you probably own 256mb of ram, beside an onboard video card that is using member of the ram .. pop out the hit stick, and take to department max, and tell them you stipulation 1 gig of hit to fit the machine. crucial site will also convey you exactly what kind of hit, and how much your able to put contained by the machine ..
when i used the scanner it said i have 2gb but i onley have 1gb i dont feel its very moral
I highly doubt that you merely have 224MB of RAM. It's possible that you enjoy 224MB of free RAM space. RAM goes surrounded by multiples of 128; 128, 256, 512, 1024 and so on. You could install 3 128 sticks if your mobo supports it.

I would have to see the actual display within order to confirm what I believe is arranged, but here is one possibility--you may be misreading the display. The properties box will give both the speed and the amount of RAM that computer have. I would recommend double-checking the display, or maybe rebooting your PC. Otherwise, what you may hold is a RAM chip that is going fruitless, and thus only giving partial carrying out compared to what it should be giving you.
