How Do I Change My Screen Depth On My Laptop?

Hi I hold got total innihilation the oc winter sport and put it in my window vista laptop when i come to play it it boots up but then says"HAPI Enviroment Init Failed!(check yer peak depth" So could somebody please tell me what to do or how to fix it??
