Do u know how to install window xp within presario v3106tu?

I get compaq presario v3106tu. I wanted to install window xp .when started windows xp .. it voice cannot find HDD.. I think it necessitate a sata driver .. i try finding in hp net site but cannot find .

If you havent messed with the rock-hard drive cables or jumper, your hard drive probably took a dump and you wont know how to install ANYTHING on it!
