2 partition on one laptop - how do I detail which is which as I entail to format and install XP on it?

I own a laptop with 2 partition, both Win 2000. I need to reinstall one pernickety with XP. How do I inform which is which when I get to the bit contained by Windows XP Setup (the blue screen). Both partitions are like size.

xp being the subsequent os, it's best on d:

boot-up from win-xp cd

follow on screen instructions

you will be prompted if u wanna install win-xp surrounded by c: or d:

select d: & proceed with installation

Each next to be labeled with a memorandum (C:\ or E:\) and XP will allow you to choose which one you want to use.

They will both have different drive parcels, plus make sure they own different names, you can do that surrounded by My Computer (just right click, rename). The setup disk will ask you which one to install on.
