Should a laptop be plugged into an oulet adjectives the time?
Answer:
The module with a lantern on it is generally a surge protector of some class. The light's just to consent to you know whether or not the battery is charged or not. Generally it's green when it's charged or a yellow/orange if it's not. You involve both parts plugged in to charge the laptop, and usually neither plugged contained by to run off of mobile power.
the thing beside the lights are one for power and the other is showing charging the battery. it is best to use the wall power over the freestyle . usally the battery should simply be used when traveling or no power source availible..
That probably means that your battery-operated is weak/defective. Choose between spending the hundred bucks or so for a new mobile, or keep it plugged surrounded by.
you can unplug the ac adapter.
but you shoud do it from the portable end ( unplug the ac adapter from the laptop) and check whether it is working or not. if it does not work later battery is nogood, contact the vender
What the first guy said is right but I considered necessary to add one detail. All battery will lose their ability to give somebody a lift and keep a charge if you don't occasionally drain them and recharge them. Once a month I unplug my laptop till the freestyle gets low and later recharge it, keeps the mobile in polite shape.
I bet you have a MAC. My laptop have the same problem. It could be your mobile. What the mac genius told me to do be this.
Click Apple (In the upper left corner), next "About This Mac" Then "More Info" then below Hardware click "Power". Under "Battery Information" check the Cycle Count. If it is over 120 that means your mobile has be charged from under 20% to full more later 120 times and it is probably worn out. WARNING! This happened to me and i bought a unknown battery (Over 100$) and the problem still continued! RIP OFF! that mac rare talent didn't look into the root of the problem. So I say goto the Mac Store, agree to a Genius and tell him your cycle count and also mention that i have the same problem and buying a unusual battery didn't work. Hopefully it won't cost to much to fix. I newly bought an Imac he-he.
Hope it works out for you!
