Answer:
Reboot the Laptop.
Go into BIOS Setup.
Setup BIOS defaults.
Save and exit.
If the chip that controls the Keyboard is OK after everything will be fine. At the most, the worst thing that can arise is that you may have to regulation the Laptop Keyboard Module.

How did you type all that next?
The keyboard is connected to the motherboard by a ribbon cable. It woud appear that in attendance is a lost connection on some of that cable (some key work)
Depending on how bad the flop is you may be able to:
Remove the the ivories fixing screws pull up the keyboard a small amount and un-plug and re-plug the ribbon at the motherboard run out (lift the locking bar first)
