How powerful of a workstation should I bring back?

I want to receive a laptop able to run photoshop and supporting office programs, email...etc. no games. i'm looking at DELL because I own Dells and own had great nouns with them....I only need a swiftly laptop

Look at the E1705 of the xps series. Make sure you get at tiniest 1GB RAM for photo shop to run smoothly.

for things like that i would right to be heard most laptops are pretty good. You may want to look into laptops near atleast 512mb memory, and maybe a dualcore processor, if you want to travel single core, i would say atleast 2ghz processor speed.

Why not thinking of Apple Mac computers or notbooks. All designers I personlly know use Apple Mac computers and laptops. However, if you focus of IBM laptops you can pay any hp or toshiba. Good luck..

Be careful, Dells are scandalously badly programed and enjoy really really bad hardware. they are intended for economists who don't want to spend very much. HP are the top within quality hardware. they are a bit more but will run forever. For speed a dual core is a must and it doesn't necessarily necessitate to be a Microsoft product.
