Should I replace my laptop battery-operated, AC adapter, or...?

I be in Ireland for the final 6 months (I'm from NY). While there, I recharged my laptop next to a plug adapter. The AC adapter for my laptop (a Dell Inspiron 9100) allowed a European, 220 V charge, so I figured I be OK.

The battery stopped holding a full charge after a while, though I know explicitly common. The AC adapter would return with incredibly hot as well, and the laptop seem to be overheating quite normally. Now that I'm back home, as be the case in that, my laptop seems to enjoy heating issues, and contained by any case, it's running slower. I am fairly sure that it's not due to any program/virus/whatever, but it's possible. In any case, I enjoy a fan board entry USB device under it cooling things down, hopefully to some effect.

I'm going to replace my battery-operated in any event. Could my AC adapter be fried, or have my computer irrevocably taken the effects of overheating badly? Maybe the adherent board is slowing me down? Any ideas?

Answer:
i do own same problem with my HP laptop baught it surrounded by the Middle East, used it there for and year, immediately am back contained by US and the adapter heats up so much that it stops working after 90 minutes of usage next i had to unplug it and keep hold of it for cooling till the battery dies down! after i plug the adapter back surrounded by and this goes on and on, so i am gonna replace both as am getting other on ebay!

Yeah more than likely you fried your power adapter, those converters aren't immaculate and more often than not shoot your hardware. The good communication is you can find a cheap replacement on ebay.
If you haven't Electricity disturbances then give somebody a lift the battery sour the compartment while running the laptopyour Aadaptio will not be damaged but to safeguard your laptop you enjoy to shut down it for sometime, give it rest ,see to cool down and then log contained by and work.
