Laptop - AMD Turion 64X2 or Intel C2D?

As far as I chkd, the majority evaluation is to go for the Intel C2D due to better activities, power saving etc. But I own also heard different opnions on the processor screening when it comes to gaming. Is it true that the dual processor on AMD is better for gaming compared to Intel C2D? Also that most applications that are used will not make full use of the complete capability of the Intel C2D?? I want to use my laptop mainly for internet, spreadsheets, GAMING!! (NFS-Carbon etc), music, movies, Photoshop.

Thanks..

Answer:
IMO the C2D.
I get both.

But I recommend you take a look at Tom's Hardware.

AMD Turion 64X2
The truth is, that neither processor is mortal fully utilized by most software these days. The C2D does out act the 64X2 in battery-operated life. All other test are basically pretty even.

For you, and your intended purpose, it is more esteemed to select the right video card for your laptop. The card will probably then determine what CPU you return with.

Since the AMD/ATI merger, if you are looking at an ATI video card, you will probably be looking at an AMD CPU. If you are looking at the Go series of Invida cards, then you are probably going to run with an Intel CPU.

(Yes, you can win Intel CPU's with ATI card, and Invida/AMD combos, but most highend systems will stir AMD/ATI and Intetl/Invida)

You will want to spend as much as you can on the video, then the processor, them RAM.
C2D totally
very well now intel have the quad core which puts intel so far in front of amd it isnt even funny,, so thats even better but core2duo stomps amd easier said than done,
