What is the diffrence between the laptop and the notebook?

Answer:
These different lingo used to indicate different features of a portable computer.

The "Laptop" was more of a desktop replacement next to more speed and less concern more or less battery vivacity and weight. The "Notebook" be smaller and lighter and more suited to travel and on-the-go use with smaller amount features and speed.

These seem to be used interchangably immediately, depending on how they want to market a expert product - but in broad you won't see 17" notebooks that weigh 9 lbs (that is really a laptop) or 12" laptops that weigh 4.2 lbs (that is really a notebook or a tablet computer).
