The best laptop to suit me?

Hey everyone, I'm looking for a polite laptop for me. Right now, I'm using a Macintosh Desktop. So I do know mac's and I love them. However, I'm probably gonna stir for a windows this time so I enjoy both a windows and a mac available.

I'd approaching it to have a accurate processor, possibly 1.8-2.0 GHz. At least 1GB of Memory. And at smallest 100GB Hard Drive.

I do a bit of coding, and travel, so not anything bulky. And apart from that, I love playing Battlefield 2142, so a video chip to button that.

And if you see it, I'm thinking about a Built surrounded by Sprint mobile broadband card. But I can get an external one if want be.

Thanks for any suggestions you guys have!

(Currently I've picked out a Dell Inspiron 1420, next to upgraded everything XD)

You picked my top choice, no doubt the Dell 1420 would be the reliable LT for you with the likelihood of a NV8600gt GC and your pick of the other top options surrounded by a sturdy alloy case.
Honestly do not budge with Dell. I work surrounded by Geek Squad and I see more of those coming in to return with fixed than anything else. I don't know how much you want to spend but Toshiba makes and excellent notebook (they hold been around forever) and yes deffinatly shift with AMD!! HP is also pretty righteous.
i'd go near the dell. they make fantastic laptops. i've have all the others and dell is defintily the best out in that. you already made the correct choice :). the dell xps 1330 has a appropriate graphics card in it and if you draw from the extended battery should prove great for both your uses.
The following specifications would suffice
Core 2 Duo 1.8Ghz
2GB run into - (800Mhz - 2*1 GB)
160GB Sata Hard disk
Dual Layer DVD Writer
15" Display
Dedicated Graphics card from ATi/Nvidia - min 128Mb
Wireless LAN, Bluetooth, Multi CardReader
Windows XP with SP2

Ur budget is on the sophisticated side and that much is not needed.
WindowsXp is a safer bet and easier to use. Brands such as Lenovo own strong and study laptops, but it might be a bit costlier for the above specifications...
