Definitely loaf. There are a lot of programs that will not work near it yet. All of my web-based programs I rely on for work inevitability at least a few more months to do updates contained by order to function beside Vista so I would be screwed if I got it, and there's a devout chance that he would own the same problems, i.e. if he have online things he needs to use for university (I'm assuming he's in academy, you didn't mention how old he is.) There are still laptops out in that that do not have Vista on them, you'll only have to look for a moment harder, maybe for closeouts or one that be already in stock formerly Vista came out.
I would dally. You never know if there may be a bring to mind or something.
I would always linger when it comes to operating systems. Microsoft has have a history of releasing software that doesn't have adjectives the "bugs" worked out.
I'd pass on Vista right in a minute, several of my trading programs don't work on it yet so I'm stuck answering question here....
If it's a laptop, I would not advise getting Vista. Vista requires abundantly more in the course of system resources to run well than WinXP, and laptops don't usually tend to enjoy a lot of resources to spare.
Other than as the previous user stated in relation to recalls, and besides compatibility issues beside some hardware, it wouldn't kill to pick up a laptop/desktop next to Vista on it. It'll save you much more change than buying Vista by itself.
Anything that is buggy near Vista now will be fixed contained by updates.
Circuit City where I work still have a bunch of windows xp notebook and they have greatly discounted prices compared to one and the same notebook but with vista. The other nice item is they come with a free upgrade to window vista on a lot of them. So if you buy one you can place your decree for the new vista. Wait a few months and install it when they finally grasp all the bugs worked out of it.
Yes, the updates will clear up the bugs. Vista is the unmarked OS. No way around it. Go ahead and buy, but cause sure you get plenty of memory on it.
I won't enjoy anything to do with Master Criminal Bill Gate's Vista until laptops next to screens, processors, and software skilled of playing hi-def movies come on the market. For what ever point, XP won't do for that. And I might go near a Mac anyway, though to be honest, Microsoft, Apple, and Linux are all really like thing, adjectives based on Unix; and to run Linux requires a PhD. Those commercials which claim hackers can't attack the Mac are lies. The truth is our incompetent courts and our unaccountable do-nothing Congress have allowed the Master Criminal to fix things so we have categorically no choice.
My info is that you can still get laptops near XP. In fact, as of a few days ago, XP within the box is outselling Vista by a landslide. I have read here are problems already with Vista--is this a surprise? I hold also read that there is no software for it. Can you run programs developed since Vista? (Meaning all programs at this point.) I don't know. You should ask Dell, Gateway, Best Buy--heck, try to find the e-mail address of Leo Laporte, who used to do computer shows for a cable/satellite waterway called Tech-TV beforehand it sold out to the worst-ever "entertainment" channel ever conceived--G4. Leo is vastly nice and will answer any questions you enjoy. He used to have a radio show. Thanks for reminding me. I enjoy XM now and will see if I can find him.
in attendance aint no point in waiting because if in attendance are any bugs in it they wont enjoy a national recall final to the factory, they will just own a online update to fix the problem (ie windows update).
and tender it 6 months until hackers crack it then they will hold all alike problems as all other window OS have have. If you truly want a safe computer consequently Mac is the only selection or Linux but thats for more advanced users.
