What is the best notebook/laptop computer?

I am buying a strange computer for when I go pay for to school to obtain my Masters. Just wondering what is the best computer available. Also curious about the wireless fragment. That is going to be new to me.

Answer:
If you want your computer to final more than a couple years, I say draw from a mac. Other computers can last that long, but not as potential. Some people get hold of lucky.... actually the computer parts are like in almost every nature of computer, it is the operating system that you need to look at. Microsoft have been perfect windows since the 80's and apple have been perfect the Macintosh operating systems since the 70's. They have have more time to fix errors. My husband has have his mac for 6 years now and have never had a problem. I hold had mine for 2 years near no problems.

Some people achieve scared in the order of certain programs worn-out. That is at times an issue but nothing big adequate to forfeit quality. Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel, and Entourage adjectives come in mac format and will verbs with no problems. I am within college now and do a ton of my work sending word documents to teacher. I have never have a problem.

I called Dell while inquiring for the right computer and all the customer service woman could tell me be that they had great customer service. My reply be, "I don't want to have to use customer service." With a mac, you most predictable won't have to. Plus, near is a discussions page on the mac website that will answer most questions you own. it basically works in recent times like QAPOP.com.

It will work great for your schooling. My college right presently is switching all of its computers to macs. That shows something. And the wireless is amazing. The greatest element is that you won't have to verbs as much about virus with a mac. They are much harder to hack into so you won't hold to have adjectives that crappy virus protection. Everyone else at my school have to download the school software to grasp online, but my husband and I took our computers in and as soon as the information technology guys saw that we have macs, they connected us without downloading the software...

Sorry I took up so much space...I be using Microsoft for so long and then I saw the insubstantial...I just want to spread the happiness! Good Luck and God Bless!

np5760 .... wireless is undemanding .. almost all trial notebooks hold it .. if ur in continuum it hooks up basically by itself ... dont sweat it ..
a computer for schoolwork. I significantly suggest a MacBook for schoolwork. the wireless system of Macs are easier to use than the windows one. But if you do choose to use a window machine, pick from a midrange Lenovo [that would be their low range] or a midrange Toshiba [M100]. Stay away from hp and dell, dell is on the flimsy side, and hp conserves on specs. also avoid the low selection laptops of any brand, even for just word processing, theyre darn slow.
Those look fitting if they're not preloaded with too much crapware. The sagers to be precise.
HP have treated me economically, they got great notebook.

Have owned several brands of notebooks including:
Sony Vaio
Dell
Toshiba
And Gateway
First you necessitate to know how much money you want to spend. Laptops start at about $500 and zoom-wham bring back very expensive. Most are appropriate and most have wireless. Most Collages very soon have a Hot Spot for free wireless around the Computer Tech building. What you really necessitate is what you need. Normally CPU speed OK and most are 80 GB Hard Drive which will be OK unless you purely want a lot of programs or into Pictures. So, you really call for to know what you need as far as a Hard Drive and also RAM. Many come near about 512 MB RAM and you will involve to add another 512 MB or more if you can afford. The rest should be OK for Collage.
So, THINK, how much Hard Drive you have a feeling you need and THINK at least possible 1 GB RAM maybe more and the RAM may inevitability installed after you buy, depends.
vote number 1 for Thinkpad. Also consider Toshiba as runner up
You should get a Toshiba notebook.
