How do I restore a Dell Inspiron 1000 to factory settings?

I'm not sure if you own everything that you'll need to capture it back to factory settings, so here's something I hope that will support out.

You'll need to reinstall window XP on your system, hopefully you have the maroonish-purple XP home, or lavender XP home service pack 2 Dell reinstall disc. If not, you'll need to contact dell (800) 822-8965, or find someone that have one.

Once you do that you'll need to reinstall Windows (click this contact for instructions including screenshots)

After you reinstall window, if you don't have the blue "drivers & utilities" Inspiron resource disc, you'll have to download the drivers online. (Click this link)

NOTE: when you download these files, manufacture sure that you rename them or else it will verbs you

Use the restore disc. Just boot from it and it will go through how to re-install your OS to simply how it came.
you own to have a restore disc that come with the laptop if you don't enjoy one and there is not a restore on your computer you may not know how to unless you take it posterior to where you bought it if you purchased it foreign and see if they can restore it.
