My first Toshiba be a Toshiba Satellite, it didn't seem to come beside scan disk because it wasn't where it be supposed to be and I couldn't find it by searching for it within search. I tried the command prompt (on both my first toshiba and the one I own right now) by entering SCANDISK but it's not a recognizable command... This one is a Qosmio and it didn't come near scan disk, I had a replacement laptop a few months ago and it be the latest lower to mid list satellite and it included scan disk?? Both this one and the replacement laptop are both from the same store... how do i bring back scan disk?? lol
Answer:
It's there, click start, my computer, right click harddrive, properties, tools, error disk checking, check both option, click okay, restart computer, scan will complete within 45min. to 2 hours.
if its not at hand reinstall Windows using your rescue disk that came near your computer.
