Does the apc ups obtain interrupted when switching from ac to dc?

I own a Netopia router connected to the UPS and it appears to go down for a little when UPS switches to DC current from AC current.

Answer:
this shouldn't be the case. you enjoy either a poor or inexact UPS. a poor quality UPS is call IPS (interruptable power supply).
the issue could be a too long switch-on time of the DC to AC converter.
you can check the UPS with a simple storm lantern. can you see a flicker if the UPS switches from AC to DC?
