The mute switch isn't working on my laptop, please relief?

a sensible answer this time, not the hammer...
try pressing the "fn" push button at the same time. this will see the second functions of the key. if it still doesnt work, try cleaning the upright. not just the top, but underneath the keys too. If that doesnt work, in attendance are two problems left. Software flaw or hardware destabilized. both of these are hard to resolve, and it would be easier to use the F key when in your music player to mute the nouns.
If your playing games, then you can other buy a set of protable speakers, with nouns control. this will be better and easier than trying to solve the problem, if what i have suggested doent work

you can other mute with volume control and try to bring it fixed where you bought it, as long as you can still carry it fixed for free
Most probably your switch is not functioning due to some hardware problem, get the switch fixed...
