Im have trouble next to the mute button on my laptop laptop.?
I have the handy little volume buttons on my grand piano. The up and down ones work FINE. The mute button is acting funny. When the computer is muted, the mute button is lit up. If I push the mute button, it switches states (muted or unuted), including the proper action beside the little light, but later switches itself right back! E.G. - if the comp is un muted when i press it, the restrained will blink, the computer will mute very briefly (<0.1 sec) and it will dance back to unmuted. Same entity happens if its on mute. It will unmute briefly andd re-mute. it is as if some setting is preventing the mute button from doing its entity. I have looked contained by the sound properties...theres nought on the buttons.If you know where I could find info on the buttons, that would be great.

To assist in explanation, when you use the proprietary buttons, the mute button activate then urgently unmutes.
It's a pain, and look forward to any solutions found.

Refrain from using this button. It's proprietary of the laptop, and not the OS.
To mute, simply click on the little speaker deity in the system tray. Place check within the little white square by left clicking on it.
