Mac Powerbook G4 laptop. Does anybody know why my eject button isn't working?
Answer:
Are you select the disc before you hit the eject switch? Somtimes, my iMac eject key won't work if the disc is select when the key is hit, even if the push button is held down until the "Eject" dialog appears. Sometimes, it will eventually eject, but it takes seriously longer than if the disc isn't selected.
If the disc isn't select sometimes the key will eject the disc straight away with simply a tap. Other times, I enjoy to hold the key down until the "Eject" dialog shows up an the peak or it won't eject.
Seems like it may depend on what's going on contained by the iMac, at the time ...
Hope this helps.
Most computers also hold a place where you slide a composition clip into it, ie, silly me, a hole, and press in at hand and you can find the eject button..
as for the button itself, you'd probably need to whip it to a hardware tech..
I don't know why the eject key doesn't work, but if you select the disk on the desktop and press Apple Key + E, the disk should eject...
