Can I install 1gb run into next to a 512 mb knock against?

I enjoy a dell inspiron 1501 amd turion x2. 2x512 mb ram. I be wondering If I can remove 1 512 ram and replace it near a 1gb ram.

Answer:
yes, but to make clear to you the truth your computer will run slower with a 512 mb and a 1gb memory card a bit than having freshly 1 gb or 2 512 mb rams. This is because the computer will simply cancel out the 512 mb because you enjoy a faster 1gb ram, but when you own 2 512 mb the computer can process things faster because you have two ram running at the same speed and processing as much as 1 gb. 2 512mb ram will run faster than 1gb because 2 is better than 1 and the computer can spread out the work.
i believe u can do that.. but before that u necessitate to see if ur motherboard suports a higer RAM.. check with Dell user support central part or go to dell website and check...
why not , it's hugely possible , just net sure it's the same bus.
wallow in better performance
You most indubitably can do that, then go the leftover module on eBay or Craigslist. Here is a relation to an online dealer that I enjoy had virtuous experience with, but shop around for the best price.

yes you can but it will run slower, unless you replace your 512 beside the one gig.
