I be lately given a Powerbook G4 2001 titanium near a powerpc processor of 500MZ. Should i upgrade the cpu?

Should I/can I replace the motherboard/ processor? And if so, how much will it cost me? Is it firm to work inside Mac's Laptops?

Answer:
You can't replace it, it's soldered to the logic board. Everything in Apple's notebook are carefully designed to hold up as little space as possible, to make the lightest/thinnest notebook. While they make it possible to upgrade the RAM, strong disk and optical drive, processor upgrades are usually not an option, unless you own a desktop Mac. You can't even upgrade the processors on most PC notebooks.
It would be better to bring back a new one. It's not worth it to mess w/ a laptop.
oh, boy, yeah, Mac laptops are the hardest to upgrade, its pretty frozen to upgrade the CPU in a Mac, but you can, but that would be expensive! (I would guess you could find one on eBay for $60+)

Good Luk!
