Dell is Sending me a Replacement for my 600m, will they dispatch me a more recent model or another 600m?
Answer:
I do Dell Warranty Repairs, and my experience shows that they supply you a modern equivelent of the computer you have. The calculate is probably to price you paid for the system. So if you have a P4 HyperThreaded you're probably getting a dual core. The RAM size may not change, if it does it will be more due to Vista requirements.
Everything else is tick for tack plan if you had a combo drive, you will probably bring back another one. If you had a 15.4" you'll shutting down up with one and the same size. It really depends on what refurbished systems are in the warehouse when they forfill your directive.
I have have friends get replacements from companies. resembling cell phones and computers. and if the company still had one and the same item they would receive the same exact entity. If they no longer had the item after they would get a comprable item that they transport currently. Just call them and ask what you will be getting!
Knowing DELL, they do everything wrong and mess everything up, so you might train up with a piece that doesn't budge anywhere or a computer that doesn't work right.
They probably will send you a newer section if yours is three years old. They lost one of mine a D610 which be only two years ancient and sent me a new D620 which be nice of them.
