Answer:
A laptop runs much slower than a desktop computer, so if you can afford it you should get the top rate processor (at this time, a Core 2 Duo) and get the topmost ghz.
I have 2 GB of run into and use windows vista business... it seem to be enough, but again laptops can use as much resources as possible since their architecture does not run as prompt as desktops
You could re-format your hard drive and put xp on, but why would you... you do know that eventually adjectives computers will run vista, so you might as well carry used to it now to some extent than later. Most problems that I enjoy encountered near vista have be simply file collateral issues, not application. People think that because a program doesn't run right surrounded by vista that there's nothing they can do just about it, but simply modifying the owner of program directories solves many problems.
Fingerprint scanners do work, haven't hear of anyone having too various problems with it.
I prefer any dell or gateway because they have much better support on the vertebrae end of the do business.
The processor you choosedepends a lot on what you are going to do next to the machine once you achieve it. Personally, they are all alike to me.
1 gig of RAM is the minimum requirement, the more the better.
Sure, if you hold an XP disk and don't want Vista, just format the drive.
Fingerprint scanners are so far not really worth the hard work. Slow and clunky, sometimes they work some times they don't. I have mine disabled, the item just pissed me bad.
I like Toshiba machines myself. I've never if truth be told had an HP even though I once worked for them within Palo.
The processer is all up to you roughly it's what you need, want, and what brand,(There's AMD and Intel, AMD is cheaper than intel, but I prefer Intel.)
1GB SHOULD be satisfactory, but to be safe I'd jump with 2
You CAN'T lift off the untested operating system, unless your upgrading.
I don't know because I've never had one. They should
If those are the brands you want to choose from I'd pick HP,instinctively I like Dell
Good Luck!!
