Answer:
i've hear of multiple reasons this happen on laptops. Sadly they are pretty much un-fixable by some easy process. Either the video card go out, which is a major dull pain. Or the ribbon that connects to the monitor is shorted or pulled out. Both of those require a professional to fix. The thrid option is the sensor that detects if the laptop is closed or not have a problem. These can be anything from a small pad that get pushed by a little pin when you close on cheaper models to a sensor surrounded by the hinges. If your laptop have a vga out on it and you can get a hold of a monitor try plugging that one within and see if you can get anything. Keep within mind though with that you may own to actually switch the computer to dispatch a signal to that output via your desktop... and your screwed there anyways... gl
try to contact the manufactor or your internet provider, it might be a virus..
i don't know much in the region of laptops but once i had indistinguishable problem with mine. it might be the adherent. if you keep your laptops surrounded by a dusty place they get clogged up quicker. you can lately open it up (unplug it first) and verbs it and put it back. it should work (well if that's the problem). that's the extend of my awareness when it comes to computers. good luck.
It is difficult to utter what is wrong if you have two others near the same problem....explicitly very unusual.
I don't know where on earth you live but Costco sells computers and even lacking a box they will work with you.
Good Luck sorry I can't give a hand more.
Are you sure that the battery is not down?
Try using it after connecting it to a powersupply if it is not the problem afterwards you may have a pen drive or a floppy or some unwanted cable plugged in, remove them and consequently start the computer! fix the cables or any external harddisks or usb-disks after that! I am sure it will start.
The computer first search for the operating system in the usb-drives and floppy drives so you must remove any floppies previously the startup
It can even be a modem that is interfereing
you should check out this site where on earth you can get a sony vaio laptop for free
