i use spybot and avg free combined and my pc is virus free
i resembling norton too
a lot of population are going to avg free because its free and also avast
but my personal favorite is kaspersky antivirus its pretty cheap
and is detects the most virus/spyware
it is has a program that scan all downloads for spyware
im sorry but norton sucks!
take up resources and slows down your pc and is horrific to remove
Kaspersky Anti-Virus is the best. Higher Detection Rates and lower system resources = win.
I recommend norton or mcaffee. Both are about indistinguishable price. You can some time get a concordat or a special with them that make them pretty cheap. What their websites for deals, also study the newspaper trailer for like Best Buy and Cuircit City, etc. They sometime run ad of the different anti virus software. There are some others, that are cheaper, they don't stay as current as Norton and Mcaffee. It depends on how and what you are going to use your computer for.
