Move the router to a better position. Try not to have any gelatinous walls between your computer and the router.

Edit: Finished making mine and put it on the antenna and directed it toward my room. It works relatively well I estimate. Got disconnected after nearly 10 minutes - that's better than usual. It costs nothing (all household items) and take only nearly 30 minutes to make, so it's worth trying. The more antennae your router have, the better.
just for over adjectives signal from your laptop, if it doesnt already have it, you can buy internal attenas that runs from your wireless card surrounded by your laptop to a transmitter and receiver chip that you put surrounded by behind your laptop peak (u remove the screen and put it there).
