HP laptop dimensions query?

-I bought a 14.1" HP pavilion dv2419us from Circuit City and the dimensions that be stated online said Height= 9.3", Width=13.2", and the Depth="1.5".
-I'm confused b/c the 15.4's dimensions are kinda opposite to the 14.1" b/c the Height=1.6", Width=14.1" and Depth=10.1".
-SO how can the rise be so small for the 15.4"?
-is the website wrong? Is teh Height and Depth mixed up? Which one is right?
-how do you measure your laptop size?
-I am so confused - I can't buy a laptop sleeve unless I find out what i'm doing.

Answers:
On a laptop measurements are sit on a desk, Height = top of screen to desk within use
Width, Side to side length
Depth, = top of lid to desk when CLOSED

Screen size of 15.4 is meeasured diagonally across the screen
Arm yourself next to a rule or tape test and check the computer dimensions for yourself. However I think you are getting confused between bag size and screen size. 14.1" is the diagonal eyeshade size. 15.4" is probably the case dimension.
