Yes you can. Install XP first after Vista. This is dual boot.
Vista is great! But like Microsquash usual make a contribution it time in the area. Kill the OS and do a clean install of XP from the source CD's
Yes you can. You own to repartition your drive and run as a dual boot. However, it depends on the specs of your PC because Vista takes up profusely of resources and you may not want to run vista on an older laptop.

First, make sure you enjoy an activation code for your XP and your Vista. The code you used on your old PC will not work to stirring XP on the new laptop. It have already been registered to the ancient PC.

You would then entail to divide your hard drive into two partition (or sections) one to hold XP and the other Vista. Partitioning your hard drive will wipe everything on it. So you will closing stages up having to a complete reinstall of Vista as okay as XP.

Using your XP CD, boot the laptop, and agree to the install begin. You will come to a point (after the F8 to agree) where on earth you can partition and format the not easy drive, and then settle on which partition to install XP on.

Once done install and activate XP, go put money on and boot off the Vista disc. Install it on the other parititon.

Once done, you will get a menu on bootup from which you can select any XP or Vista to use for that session.
Yes you can have a dual boot, as a couple of other responders informed you. My suggestion is don't do it! Why make things difficult for you and help yourself to resources away from your other laptop needs and minus gaining anything? Why not follow the infamous engineering aphorism "Make it simple stupid" ? I don't know who said it first but it does makes sense to me.
Yes, The first step is to delete adjectives your windows programs past its sell-by date your computer, Then restart it. That should fix up all your problems!
I can show you latter how aaron. They are right with the barrier idea. You will enjoy to seperate environments. They have programs that you can simulate 98 and 95 inside XP, but they are expensive and volitle. And if you establish to have partition you will lose some performance because of space and resources. There are pluses and minuses, but I can show you how if you really want to do it.
Check your local phone book. It might be lower than Alternative energy or something of that humour. I'm surprised you want solar panels and your from the south. It's something that "Liberals" do. You're a southerner so you must be "Conservative".
