With a window 98 hp laptop, is in that anyway i can completely clear the system and start from the nuts and bolts?

if u own the windows 98 install disk u should know how to just uninstall the OS and reinstall. it will wipe bad everything that u have on ur computer and of late leave u near the basic stuff that is to say on any new computer. so u would own to reinstall everything.
Sure just install your restore disk within, or your copy of Win98 SE, and reformat.

the easiest would be to just walk buy a windows xp pro operating disk at your local notebook club or on the internet new egg they get great prices.to installed just turn laptop on up to that time it loads windows click on depending on your laptop any delete or f2 thatll take u to the bios system.once in that make your cd rom your primary or first loading disk.save your laptop will want to load from the hardrive.its requirements to load from the dc rom so u can install the alien op system.after ur cd program begins loading lately follow the sample instructions.any partition on the disk as you load the contemporary op system delete and follow instructions to installed from scratch.and also quit format ntfs.enjoy fun
