Is it discouraging to put different amounts of RAM surrounded by respectively of the memory slots surrounded by my notebook?

Like putting 512 within one and 128 in the other

Answer:
it is not BAD

the running will be affected as to putting two 512s... but a 512 + 128 is better that two 128s...

pay attention before buying...

check the present bump for the type, form factor, brand

type -ddr/ddr2/old simple sd
form - short, long etc. not so important
brand - corsair is honest, others are ok.

be sure to post once more the bump you wish to buy, we dont want you throw away money... but upgrades are fruitful if done wisely, suitable that you asked...

and regarding the brands, it is other "recommended" to put in like brand, make, load, capacity, speed run into in adjectives slots.

you will get dual culvert support (if your mother board supports), the speed wont be limited by the slowest. otherwise... the slowest speed will be the significant speed of the combined rams... not much of "practical" difference though, contained by theory it does..

so... mind your Ps and Qs... confirm before you buy.

adjectives the best
its more advisable to only hold one single ram on your computer than to own different rams surrounded by different slots be it of the same size or different size.
No its not close to that but if the both RAMs architecture differs than its wrong like one DDR and another DDR II. For better deeds you can mingle 512 with 128 no problem.

But if you put alike amount of ram contained by both slot then its give a slight performance journey since the bus speed are the same read out 512 Mb DDR II with another 512 Mb DDR II both beside 800MHz bus speed.
Hey,

It's not bad to mix memory, but if they are different speeds, it will non-attendance to the slowest speed. The more memory, the better, but AT LEAST make sure they are matching speed.

Regards,

Brandon
No, as long as they both are compatible with the computer.
It depends on the type of RAM it is. RAMBUS doesn't work that method, but other rams do.
