A interrogate more or less have two SATA rugged drives..?

What I want is to use one for programs and applications and one for storage. Do I enjoy to install windows on both drives? I hold already and they are both in my computer but on bootup singular one is recognised on BIOS.

Answer:
Check your cables again. Also check the jersey settings on the new drive. If you enjoy some kind of a RAID controler you may entail to initialize the drive. You will NOT have to install window a second time.

Note: if you can plug in the SATA power, DO NOT plug surrounded by the white molex cable too.
What you did was you receive it as dual boot. Meaning you can login in any of window intall. What you should do is just intall both drive and install singular the OS on the first drive, in that defence you can just clear the other as storage. If you install indentical OS then only just format the other one and make it as your storage.
Im not authentic sure how to go around this. I do know that you do not need an Operating System on both drives. When it comes to SATA, you usually hold to install the drivers during Windows setup so that it sees it. If you are using one as a lesser storage device, Windows should recognize it, but it also could depend on the BIOS. This is a honest question, Im anxious to see other answers.

Try removing the one drive that is to say recognized and install the other drive surrounded by its place, just to see if the BIOS recognize it.
The SATA cables are terribly sensitive, its easy to bend a pin on one cause the appearance of a bad drive (or drive not showing up within BIOS or windows).I have gone through a couple cable myself.

Also, who makes your drive? Most of them tender software to format the drive..

Contact me on yahoo messenger, I may be able to oblige troubleshoot more in the bios..

Update: you dont inevitability a RAID controller to use the disk for additional storage, window will recognize an SATA drive beside no additional drivers..it simply wont recognize a RAID array.
UNPLUG YOUR MAIN HDD. PLUG IN YOUR SECONDARY HDD. TURN ON YOUR PC YOUR COMPUTER SHOULD RECOGNIZE THE DRIVE, IF IT DOES NOT GO INTO YOU MOTHERBOARDS BIOS AND SEARCH FOR IDE CHANNELS, THE VALUES NEED TO BE SET TO AUTO.
THEN INSTALL WINDOWS
THEN PLUG IN YOU OTHER HDD.
If you've get the same as mine next one of your drives needs to be master and the one you're using for storage as slave. Can you set this on the pullover settings on the drives?

I agree you should set the Bios disk settings to 'Auto' to begin near.
You don't need to install an operating system on both drives, but it shouldn't interfere beside what you're doing once you've got the master/slave right. Alternatively, look for a second disk socket on the motherboard to use for the storage disk.
Right click my computer
run to Manager
have a look surrounded by disk manager
See if you can see both harddrive. Should show both even if manoeuvre in insalled unless hardware.
Format one drive.
