It doesn't own the highest specs, but for the money you get a great unit. Remember, the high the specs, typically the higher battery-operated consumtion. Even going to a 7200rpm drive in a laptop can casue seriously of heat and assassinate your battery time.
It's other a tradeoff. If you like your workstation, never mind them. Haven't you heard, EVERY computer is archaic.
I'm holding out for dual quad processors and a 15,000 rpm hard drive. Of course, I'll obligation a car battery-operated to run the thing...
I would enjoy gotten a Dell instead...Gateways are always a ways trailing in what they submission as far as "souping" them up...Dell has alot "cooler" make the addition of ons and just FYI...Gateways go and get REALLY hot....Dells in my experience compared to friends and house stay alot cooler and run longer...but for $1000 you got a suitable starter...you could do some upgrades...
