I enjoy a Dell 700M running XP. Of overdue, the Y switch automatically get typed continuously. What do I do?

Whenever I start the mechanism, the Y key keep running and there's no way to stop it. I checked the grand piano - the Y key looks ok near. I cannot use any of the softwares or even access the start menu, since my Yahoo Messenger automatically starts up when I do this. I even tried adding an external the ivories and disabling the one on my laptop, but the problem still persists.

The problem have rendered my machine useless, and I don't wanna spend money replacing the motherboard. Any thoughts on how to return with this fixed?
