My laptop fell sour this couch article and onto the floor...?
Answer:
DON'T STRESS! Take a deep breath and exhale.
You probably broke the laptop-side DC powertap.
This can be fixed (I've done hundreds of them - no joke).
The mfr will probably NOT honor repairing this beneath warranty as they view this as physical harm by the user.
You should be able to lug the unit to a local reputable shop and they will charge you roughly $150-200 to fix.
The parts are cheap, the cost is the labor to disassemble the unit, remove and replace the destabilized part (soldering), reassemble the component, and test w/ your AC adapter (charge the battery). The labor is typically 2 to 2.5 hours @ their bench rates.
Please check around locally for option as I believe you will be best served by someone you can talk to directly. If you can't find anyone locally that will fix it, drop me an email and we'll discuss other option.
It will be alright.
Best of success.
Call Customer Service and see what they influence. Believe it or not, they are there to aid you.
You likely broke the power stem where on earth the AC adapter plugs into the laptop computer.
These are next to impossible to repair; I've see many of them surrounded by my days at my shop.
My condolences.
Maybe you should ask an electric company or go to the store where on earth u got your computer. or i no geek squad.
Try taking the freestyle out [with the power cord plugged in.] If it still say battery power, cut it sour and then rear legs on. If it still says battery-operated power, call customer service.
