URGENT!!! Boot from compact disc problem?

My computer displays

Boot from compact disc :

A disk read error occurred
Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart

what should I do?

Answer:
Most probably the master boot record(MBR) have been shabby.
If you are using Windows XP, you can fix it in salvage console !
What you need to do is, enter setup (You should press DEL during POST), adapt the settings to boot from CD/DVD, then insert Windows XP installation disk and press 'R' to enter recouping console when you are asked for fresh install/recovery console. in repossession console just type FIXMBR and enter. also try FIXBOOT after that, presently reboot your computer and see what happens ;)
Go to the system bios and Set the bios option to default and try rebooting if that still wont give support to then in that might be an issue with your Hard Drive.
Either something is wrong beside your disc or your CD ROM drive.
Your MBR (master boot record) of HDD have been corrupted, Enter CMOS setup and conversion the booting sequence to FDD, CD, HDD. Now insert boot floppy or boot compact disc and boot the PC. Later format the HDD and reinstall OS.
double click my computer
right click "c"drive
properties
tools
error checking (CHECK NOW)
disc check (will say it will do it when it restarts /ok it/check and repair)
restart
will give somebody a lift a good hour or so but should fix it
well brought-up luck
