the intel core 2 duo is the best on the market right immediately - even apple has switched to intel! however, maintain in mind where on earth you'll use it. some computer geeks actually prefer the AMD x2, thinking it's more stable. fatefully, it runs hotter than the intel, so if you put your laptop in your knees a lot, you'd better stick next to the intel. (although the AMD has gotten cooler over the years.) the AMD repeatedly seems to be priced smaller amount expensively, as near as I can let somebody know, when packaged next to similar components as an intel computer.
